EGG ON MY FACE: Howie Roseman Named NFL Executive Of The Year
What. A. World.
There’s no hiding the fact I’ve been a Howie Hater throughout my time here at Barstool. I still feel my opinions were justifiable as an Eagles fan. I mean, we’re talking about a man who viciously rose through the ranks from a “Salary Cap Counsel” in 2000 to become the Eagles General Manager in 2011. A man who created, and survived, “The Dream Team” in his first year while signing notable studs Jason Babin, Nnamdi Asomugha, Cullen Jenkins, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Johnnie Lee Higgins, Ronald Brown, Donald Lee and Steve Smith in his first offseason. A man who was GM during the Danny Watkins, Alex Henry (4th round!!!), Marcus Smith, among other nameless faces. A man who brought on Chip Kelly, and was essentially responsible for all the success (and there was some success) and implosions that came along with the hiring. A man who went 6+ full seasons at the helm of a roster without a playoff win, and only one playoff birth up until this year.
A man who is now regarded as the NFL’s greatest executive.
